HI I’M SIERRA :)

I’m bold and sentimental and honest — and I love a party. My personality is an integral part of the art I create.

I love my friends and family and I’d do anything to keep them on a FaceTime call just a few minutes longer. I’ve been loyal to the dance floor since middle school and I believe any good playlist includes at least one Pitbull song. I love art in many forms, and I’ve got the knitting needles, sewing machine, and gallons of paint to prove it. Love Island is my favorite TV show and I think it keeps the artist in me humble. I laugh a lot and cry a lot and I like it best when they happen at the same time. I have three orange cats even though I’ve been a self-proclaimed “dog person” my entire life. My front door is painted pink because it’s my favorite color. I tell my mom EVERYTHING and I think it makes up for the dozens of lies I told her as a teenager. I took piano lessons for five years and the only thing I can still play is Heart and Soul.

Who I am in my day-to-day carries into my work.

When I show up to our time together as a whole, real, layered person, so do you !!! Where there’s friendship, there’s fun, and where there’s fun, there’s REALLY good photos.

I’m so lucky and so honored to capture and commemorate your precious memories.

 FAQs

  • I’m based on the central coast of California (but I like to get out of town).

  • Yes — far and wide!

  • My photography is candid and documentary-style. If you’re looking for someone to be posing you at *every* moment, I’m probably not your gal! I believe my role is to capture raw emotions that unfold while you’re with loved ones, whether that’s at an engagement shoot or on your wedding day! I think the most important thing for me is that my couples are comfortable in my presence. I want you to feel like I’m just a friend with a camera when we’re together!

  • Fill out an inquiry form, we’ll gab on the phone, and then I send over a proposal that includes your invoice and contract. Once you’ve made your deposit payment, we’re ready to go!

  • YA! A lot of it. It’s included in all of my packages.

  • Fair question! I used to wonder the same thing — ‘Why would it cost so much to just take some photos and throw an edit on them???’

If only it were that simple! About 95% of what goes into providing quality images to clients happens “behind the scenes.” This includes (but is certainly not limited to):

    • location scouting

    • purchasing equipment

    • mastering camera settings

    • learning to use editing software

    • building a website

    • correspondence with clients before and after shoots

    • backing up photos

    • creating guides

    • managing social media

    • taxes!!!! lol

Photographers have a lot of hats to wear within their businesses, and that’s reflected in the cost of services! I frame it like this: for every hour I spend taking photos with you, there are probably 10+ hours I’ve spent working on everything else I listed above to make it happen!
